The Moving Moxie Process
At Moving Moxie Pilates, we work from a classical Pilates framework and begin with an in-depth overview of your basic core anatomy. We believe that is important to understand your body and how it works, so that you get the most out of your Pilates practice. We take the time to “get it right”, ensuring that your health, wellbeing and goals are at the forefront of our teaching. There are no cookie cutter classes at Moving Moxie. Because of the care we take early on, we are able to address individual goals in all of our class settings, private or mat class alike.
About Pilates
Pilates is a system of core-strengthening exercises that uses breath and proper body alignment to develop whole body strength. Classical Pilates is a method of physical and mental conditioning created and developed by Joseph H. Pilates over 75 years ago. Using specially designed equipment in combination with mat exercises, Pilates dramatically improves strength, flexibility, coordination and posture, developing firmer, sleeker and more powerful muscles.
Pilates incorporated his study of eastern and western philosophies of physical and mental conditioning to create more than just an exercise program. Pilates engages mind, body, and spirit, working as an integrated whole.
